PREPOSITIONAL PHRASES OF GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES

 

Is a preposition which is used to refer to a place where something or someone is located. There are only four prepositions of place, however they can be used to discuss an almost endless number of places.

• IN 
• ON 
• TO
• OF

This we use to describe where is located a place.

For example: with this pinture we´re going to make some sentences with the correct prepositions. ç

• Austria is TO the nouth OF Italy
• Mediterranean sea is TO the southwest Of italy
• Palermo is ON the south coast Of Italy 
• Florence is IN the nouthwest Of Italy
